About Dr. Heather Hallam-Helbich

Dr. Hallam-Helbich considers it an absolute privilege and joy to work with clients ages 3 to 25 to support them and their parents collaboratively. She brings more than 30 years of experience working with people from a range of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. In her work, she incorporates therapeutic approaches, play therapy techniques, and hands-on activities to support cognitive and behavioural change, renewed confidence, and growth.

Dr. Hallam-Helbich completes thorough assessments to identify clients’ cognitive, academic, socio-emotional, and behavioural needs. She helps clarify diagnoses and provides appropriate referrals so clients and parents can advocate for themselves or their children. She helps individuals obtain educational plans that support them in reaching their potential and provides parents with behaviour management strategies and support for addressing difficult issues at home.

About Dr. Amy Tran

Dr. Amy Tran strongly believes that every person’s story deserves careful attention. How we understand a concern can shape how we respond to it. She takes time to understand each person’s unique experiences, strengths, relationships, and developmental needs to create a safe space where youth and families feel heard, understood, and supported.

Dr. Tran completed her Ph.D. in child and adolescent clinical psychology. Her specific training provides a strong foundation in child and adolescent development and in understanding young people’s challenges within the context of their stage of life, family, and school environment. She provides therapy and assessment services to clients with a warm, thoughtful, and collaborative approach.

Dr. Tran’s previous clinical experiences include the Regional Children’s Centre, The Summit Centre for Preschool Children with Autism, the Toronto Catholic District School Board, Grand River Hospital, and Youthdale Treatment Centres. In therapy, she employs evidence-based strategies to help clients navigate difficult emotions, strengthen relationships, and build confidence in themselves. Her work also incorporates nervous system regulation strategies to support the mind-body connection and help people feel calmer and more in control. She helps families make sense of assessment findings and understand their next steps, including how recommendations can inform educators and support teams.

Dr. Tran is also the author of This Book Is a Safe Space. She has served on advisory boards for mental health apps, appeared as a guest on wellness podcasts, provided workshops to various organizations, and published work in peer-reviewed research journals, magazines, and news publications. Across her clinical work and writing, she is committed to helping young people and their families feel more understood and confident about the path forward.

About Elizabeth Allevato

Elizabeth has always known that she wanted to work in a helping profession. Kindness, compassion, and collaboration are at the core of her work. She believes we all benefit when we support one another in becoming the best versions of ourselves, and she strives to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel understood, respected, and empowered.

With more than 15 years of experience in both the public and private sectors, Elizabeth has developed a strong background in assessment and intervention. Much of her training has focused on Intellectual Developmental Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders, and anxiety disorders. More recently, she has been expanding her knowledge of mood and personality disorders as they relate to assessment and therapeutic support. Although assessments are the primary focus of her practice, she also provides therapy to a smaller caseload of children, adolescents, and adults.

Elizabeth’s approach is collaborative, flexible, and grounded in evidence-based practices. She wants clients to feel heard and validated while gently exploring patterns of thinking or behaviour that may be getting in the way of their goals. She believes therapy works best when it meets people where they are, so she adapts sessions to each person’s strengths, needs, and circumstances. With children, therapy often focuses on practical skills for emotional regulation, cognitive flexibility, attention, and impulse control. With adolescents and adults, sessions are more collaborative, with clients actively helping to set the agenda and develop their goals.

About Kathy Morneau

Kathy Morneau has been a social worker in Windsor-Essex County for over 30 years. She graduated from the University of Windsor in 1985 and has been working with children/adolescents and families since that time. Her resume includes both clinical work and leadership, having worked in both outpatient and inpatient services. Kathy is an active member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers.

About Kathryn Huyge

Kathryn has over 17 years of experience in the area of mental health. She also has 7 years of practice as a psychotherapist working with a diverse group of individuals (ages 10 +) and families presenting with a wide array of needs including anxiety, depression, stress management and trauma.

About Kimberly Court

Kim believes that when life feels overwhelming, heartbreaking, or challenging, people possess inner resources that can help them move forward. Kim recognizes that clients are the experts in their own lives. About Levi Rogers

Levi is a Registered Social Worker with experience supporting youth, adults, and families in various clinical settings since 2015. He began practicing as an individual and family therapist in 2020. He has worked at local mental health agencies which helped him to establish a strong clinical foundation and knowledge of supports available in the community to youth and their families. He graduated with a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Windsor and has an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Child and Youth Care (CYC/CYW) and Developmental Services Worker (DSW).

Accredited as a Triple-P (Positive Parenting Program) facilitator, Levi has experience supporting parents and families with treating behavioral and emotional challenges experienced by children and youth.

Levi is trained in several therapeutic treatment modalities. He takes a collaborative, trauma-informed and anti-oppressive approach to supporting clients in meeting their personal goals. Levi is a compassionate, engaging, and skilled clinician who prioritizes empathy and respect for his clients. He recognizes that attending therapy may not come easy to each person, and therefore is committed to building a comfortable and safe environment where clients feel seen, heard, and valued.

Levi teaches part-time in St. Clair College’s Developmental Services Worker program, which trains professionals to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities throughout their lives. About Samantha McKinley

Samantha is a compassionate social worker dedicated to supporting the wellbeing of individuals and families.

She is skilled at helping adults, youth, and children to navigate through life’s challenges with empathy and a nonjudgmental approach. Samantha has a special interest in guiding clients through separation and divorce, strengthening marriage and long-term relationships, nurturing parent management skills, and embracing the joys and challenges of first-time parenting. About Taryn Duffy

Taryn believes connection between client and therapist is the backbone of therapy. She builds strong rapport with her clients by offering a comforting, kind and grounded space, where clients can feel safe to unpack some of life's heavier moments. Her goal is for each person to feel heard, understood, and supported.

Rob has more than 30 years of experience as a teacher, Special Education Consultant, and principal. About Benjamin Mazur

As Administrative Director, Ben provides leadership to Cornerstone’s Clinic Manager and administrative team and oversees the day-to-day systems and operations that support the clinic. He works closely with the Cornerstone team to ensure the practice remains organized, responsive, and well positioned to meet the needs of clients, families, and clinicians.

Ben brings extensive experience in entrepreneurship, operations, and organizational leadership to his role. Throughout his career, he has built and led teams, managed complex organizations and projects, and developed a reputation for bringing structure and practical solutions to challenging situations. He brings that experience to Cornerstone, focusing on supporting its people, strengthening the organization, and helping the clinic operate smoothly while maintaining the quality and personal approach that families expect.
